Privacy & exam data

The service stores the examiner’s account identifier, course, student ID suffix, device check-in times, pinning, screen, foreground and quiet-mode states, plus interruption alerts. It does not collect messages, browsing history, contacts, camera images or calculator expressions.

Each examiner can access only exams created under their account or a paired device. A student invitation allows enrollment in one exam; share it only with its participants. The last three ID digits are a label, not proof of student identity. Examiners must check the actual roster and resolve duplicate suffixes before an exam.

Exam records and alerts remain in the hosted database. Hiding a released record or clearing the displayed alert log does not erase the underlying history. Automated retention and self-service account deletion are not available in this pilot; agree retention arrangements with your institution before collecting assessed-exam data.

Personal Android screen pinning can be exited. Status comes from the student’s device and must be reviewed by an examiner; an alert alone does not establish misconduct. Keep the examiner app open during monitoring. This release does not provide background push notifications or guaranteed alert delivery.
